On February 6th, third term GA Representative Houston Gaines brought an updated version of legislation he tried to push through in the previous session. House Bill 295 seeks to criminalize homelessness in a new and even more cruel way.
Essentially, this bill would clear a path for property owners to sue their city or county for a list of things:

So in addition to unfairly targeting immigrants, this bill would also go after people who do things like illegal public camping, loitering, and panhandling. Hrm… wonder what group does those things?
